Nipped in the Bud

Just as I was starting the "adventure" phase of my trip I was tripped up by a rather vicious intestinal infection. Fever, loss of orientation, wrenching cramps (I feel for you girls), expulsion of all sorts, etc. Three days locked in a guesthouse halfway to the Laos border with ten bottles of water and one bottle of Cipro seems to have done the trick. On the up side, I lost several pounds and now have the cleanest colon in southeast asia. As soon as I find an internet place that doesn't cost a fortune I'll update the blog.
